Aquatech will be attending BlueTech Forum 2019. The show will take place June 5-6 at Kew Gardens in London, UK. Managing Director, Devesh Sharma will be presenting "Using Innovation to Become More Resilient" with Ecolab VP Emilio Tenuta on June 6 at 8:50am.
Aquatech will also be hosting a roundtable titled, 'Managing Brine on the salty planet' on Thursday, June 6 at 9am.
About the roundtable:
Currently, more than 300 million people around the world rely on desalinated water for part or all of their daily needs. As water reuse becomes more widespread, what do we do with all the brine? With an endless amount of salt to dispose of, there is a risk that we are nearing a regulatory ‘red-light’.
As more desalination facilities are established, the problem of brine discharge becomes increasingly severe, and often the economics stand in the way. This problem will only grow with larger populations and improved standards of living around the world. There is a clear call for innovative and cost-effective solutions. In the last year we are seeing increasing innovation in the field of brine reuse.
- Are we facing a salinity roadblock to water reuse and desalination?
- How do you create a resource from brine?
- Are we facing a legislative crisis on salt disposal? Are we running into a regulatory red light here?
Hosted by Dr. Michael Mickley, Technology Assessment Group (TAG) Member. Conversation starters will include David Sedlak, Plato Malozemoff Professor at University of California at Berkeley and Devesh Sharma, Managing Director, AquatechAbout the Show:
